Our Why
Resourceful Connections of North Carolina (RCNC) was founded by Cathy Hunt & Ivine Lucas, two women dedicated to helping others and strengthening communities across North Carolina.
With years of experience working with community-based organizations, Ivine and Cathy saw a need for greater collaboration and access to resources—especially within marginalized and underserved communities. Too often, individuals and families were disconnected from the very programs and support systems that could help them thrive.
Out of that realization, Resourceful Connections of North Carolina was created to bridge the gap — bringing people, partners, and opportunities together. RCNC exists to empower communities through shared resources, education, and outreach that promote wellness, growth, and connection.
